Gridworks is proud to be the EPC partner for the Shallow Basket Energy Project located in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico. This week, we celebrated the groundbreaking of this major project alongside our key partners at National Renewable Solutions, Jicarilla Apache Nation, and Guzman Energy.
Shallow Basket Energy, which is owned by National Renewable Solutions, will employ over 250 individuals during construction. Once operational, the project - consisting of 140 MW Solar + 50 MW Storage - will produce enough power for 38,000 homes annually and will boost local grid reliability by storing and dispatching power when needed. The energy that this project produces will offset carbon dioxide emissions by an estimated 266,000 metric tons annually.
Gridworks would like to thank National Renewable Solutions, Jicarilla Apache Nation, Jicarilla Apache Nation Power Authority, Guzman Energy, Vision Ridge Partners, and BlackRock for their incredible partnership on this project!
